Overview


Standards  
Although ethics and standards are highly subjective, it is Inspiration Studios’ goal to make films that hold to a higher standard than current films.  Instead of trying to see how much we can get away with and still keep a rating, we will be trying to see how high we can keep our standards while telling our story.

Sex  
Due to the fact that there are many different cultures, views and standards regarding sex, it is difficult to define exactly what is appropriate and will not offend anyone.  That said, it is our goal to make films that do not show graphic nudity and sexual acts.  There will be kissing and flirting, and may be discussion of sexual themes as they move the story forward.  

Language  
Language that is viewed as “coarse” is subjective and therefore difficult to define.  Our goal is to not have any coarse language in our films at all.  Expletives that are illegal by the FCC for mainstream television will definitely not be used.  Racial slurs may be applied as related to history and society when needed in a storyline. However, they will not be used excessively or as a matter of humor, and they will be shown in a negative light.  Blasphemy will not be used.  We will also be conscious of the use of double entendres, puns, etc. as sexual references and try to keep them out of our scripts.

Violence  
Inspiration Studios will use minimal violence in our movies.  Again, some violence may be necessary to further a story line, but we will not have graphic violence and gore in our films.

Guidelines  
Once Inspiration Studios has finished a film and is ready to distribute it, we will have a “standards box” for this film on our website.   Those who wish to know the content of language, sexual situations, mature themes, and violence can click on this box and read a detailed account of these items.  While some movies may receive a PG rating, they may not be appropriate for young children due to mature theme or content.  We would encourage adults to use our “standards box” as a reference before choosing one of our films for their family to view.
